Metaphor

 Have you ever seen,
That Rusted bench in that park

Down that road, at the bend

Hidden behind the green shade

Ready to crumble,

Must be a witness to evenings

Night and shade

Being witness to

Conversation and silences

Together and in solitude

Like we all carry along

Stories untold

Why do I notice it now

When it is breathing it's almost last

In an odd way

A metaphor

For real and animate

We mutate, molt, shed off

Into a crumbling trash

Do we end? Do we begin?

Turn the leaf to a shiny green

Or remain a metaphor like the 'the last leaf'.

We never end. Transform and move on is the only choice. And law of nature.
This Journey never ends. Never. Even beyond life.
