Many seas of clouds
I have traversed
To be with you.
Flying at sub-zeroes, gasping for oxygen
Rushing past multitudes of lives,
Missing breakfasts, skipping sleep,
Weary,
Only to live in the thrill of a takeoff,
The sheer promise of what could be.
That feeling, I find hard to describe,
It can be felt in the beats of my heart,
And, the rush of my blood,
The dance of anticipation that begins from the moment I say goodbye,
To home, hearth, and ground below,
Till I feel the intensity of a thousand deep kisses,
With that rush against gravity, smiling.
