I bet you don't know
How intimate I am with your form
At our last contact, I memorized
Your silken skin with my fingertips

I swore I'd never wash my hands
When I am craving you, I smear my fingers
Up, down, over the air
And draw you

Your eyes are clear, sustained
As your voice blows an invitation
I squeeze the space against me
Pressing the molecules tightly
Against the softness of a thought

I bet you wonder why
You feel a layer of yourself
Missing at the oddest times

I saved a trace of you
For loneliness.
